Loune-Djenia Askew is the Founding Attorney of Askew & Associates, P.A., a Florida-based law firm with offices in Lauderdale Lakes and Coral Springs. Through her firm, she represents clients throughout the State of Florida with a primary focus on estate planning and probate, while also handling real estate, immigration, civil litigation, and personal injury matters. Her practice is rooted in thoughtful counsel, strategic advocacy, and a commitment to protecting families and legacies.

 

Loune-Djenia is a member of The Florida Bar and is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, having been sworn in December 2025. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Haitian Lawyers Association, where she plays an active role in leadership, mentorship, scholarship initiatives, and advancing diversity and excellence within the legal profession.

 

Her work has earned both individual and firm-wide recognition. Loune-Djenia was named a Super Lawyers® Rising Star for Estate Planning & Probate in 2024 and 2025, an honor awarded to no more than 2.5% of attorneys in each state. Additionally, Askew & Associates, P.A. was recognized as a Best of Florida Estate Planning Law Firm in 2024 and 2025, reflecting the firm’s dedication to quality legal services and client satisfaction.

 

Loune-Djenia earned her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law, graduating cum laude and in the top 15% of her class. She received FIU Law’s Excellence in Civic Engagement Medallion of Distinction after completing more than 250 hours of pro bono legal service. During law school, she was also a recipient of the Haitian Lawyers Association Scholarship, awarded in recognition of academic excellence and community involvement.

 

Her legal scholarship has been published by the University of Miami Race & Social Justice Law Review, where her article, “Confidentiality Agreements: The Florida Sunshine in Litigation Act, the #MeToo Movement, and Signing Away the Right to Speak,” explored the intersection of contracts law and public policy.
